Does anyone have any experience upgrading their movement while undergoing service with Breitling? I miss the backlight function and would love to upgrade to the improved . I have a Breitling Aerospace, model E75362 I would like to get myself a new black dial & replacement Sapphire, as I has scratched the AR coating on this one. Does anyone . The watch had to go in for service and Breitling suggested to replace the movement. I agreed as quartz watches have only a finite lifespan and I was concerned that at a later time a movement change might no longer be possible. It's the same, but upgraded caliber and is used in current Aerospace model (Evo). I had the same problem as you are having with my Avantage - fading and blinking display segments but watch worked normally. After some time I decided to pull the trigger and had movement replaced and watch serviced. I have an aerospace with a cracked lcd too. Any info on the lcd part number and a source for it?
Our restoration process begins with a full movement service and overhaul if necessary to inspect each and every piece of the movement. Next, each piece is cleaned, lubricated and put back together. Any worn or broken parts are replaced using .I was devastated because the Aerospace had been my grail watch for such a long time, so eventually after a few years of it sitting in a desk drawer I had a replacement movement put in by Breitling service. My watch is perfect again, and is currently over 3 . I recently used Rocco to replace a water damaged movement in my Aerospace as he is Breitling approved. He will strip the watch and send a detailed estimate before carrying out the work. The total bill including service was about £650 including refurbing the case & bracelet, service and module replacement.
