Well there is my thread on the belt drive conversion that is a massive upgrade I am sure you have seen. I would consider it essential. Generally I have I just wanted to post a few pictures and what I learned about converting my new Grizzly G0781 to belt drive. I was excited and setup my new mini mill. Used it for about 3-4 . Switching to a 1-stage belt drive would probably mean losing the spindle tacho readout which would be a shame. You can see the tacho disc in the picture, it is a welded .
Ordered a belt for the lathe on ebay, so it should be here pretty soon - although it is coming from the US. If you have the room, it pays to make the diameter as large as possible, .
