One thing many fail to do, is when they get their new tank, put it in sun. The releasing agent they use to separate the tank from the mold creates a yellowing hue to the tank. When you put it in the sun, it allows the releasing agent to evaporate off, whitening the the tank even more. I've had tanks look near white before mounting them.
