After a week with my new NTH Barracuda Vintage Green (olive green insert), I noticed a nasty scratch on the bezel insert between 12:00 and 1:00. I don't know what caused it, but it went through the paint down to the metal.
To polish, I first masked off the bezel and then gave the crystal a good wet sanding with 1000 grit sandpaper. This took me about 5-10 minutes. I had to sand pretty vigorously on some of the deeper scratches located at 20 & 50 minutes.
My bezel was out by 0.5-1mm. My seamaster diver 300m was pristine and only a few months old. After a while I decided to ask omega to realign the bezel. I took it to a boutique in London, they were very helpful and took the watch in. Not sure whether it went to Switzerland or a service center in the UK. Omega Pre-Bond: Possible to fix or line up bezel that is 1/2 a click off? However, there is a limit to how much can be polished, and polishing also removes metal by definition and therefore can change the shape / angles / sharpness of a case, which you may or may not want. I had the bezel replaced on my co-axial Speedmaster when I got it. The dent was more massive that yours and I just can’t live with that stuff. Check out an Omega Boutique as they are generous with warranty repairs. A new bezel, installed, was 7 for me.

It's the first time I've ever heard of Speedmaster inserts being glued to the bezel. I always thought that they were an interference fit. It is a one piece non serviceable item, glued. So I scratched my Omega Speedmaster the other day, decided to order some Polywatch to try to get the scratch out. Got a few really small scratches since earlier too and now it was time to fix it.
