Around 2007 I saw fake Goyards pop up on the fakes tables on the streets of NYC. I never got close enough to handle one but they were everywhere for a while. There was even an article in the NY Times I believe about how affluent women were carrying the fake ones just because of the price and they couldn't tell the difference anyway.
