In providing young artists in a variety of disciplines – architecture, dance, film, literature, music, theatre and visual arts – access to great masters, they are given the most precious commodity of all – time – time to spend with a mentor, time to learn, grow and create.Five of the world's most renowned artists - El Anatsui (Visual Arts), Bernardine Evaristo (Literature), Jia Zhang-Ke (Film), Anne Lacaton (Architecture) and Dianne Reeves (Music) - will each mentor an outstanding emerging artist, as participants in the 2023-2024 cycle of the Rolex mentoring programme. Ghanaian sculptor El Anatsui has selected .A total of 300 influential figures in the arts have nominated young artists and selected protégé finalists, and 145 major artists and creative leaders have served as advisors to the programme. To date, 58 artists have served as mentors and have chosen 58 protégés from 36 countries.
